LEARN NEW SKILLS AND BOOST YOUR CONFIDENCE
Group coaching sessions for mountain bikers
Learning new bike skills isn't easy. It can be intimidating, frustrating, confusing, and potentially dangerous.
We are here to assist riders of all ability levels to develop new skills safely through carefully planned Skills Clinics and Day Classes. It doesn't matter if you are a new cyclist or an experienced rider. Our expert coaches offer a full complement of group coaching sessions all year round.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
DO I NEED TO BE AT A CERTAIN SKILL LEVEL?
For our introduction sessions, you simply need to be able to ride a bike without assistance. If you are looking to join one of our more advanced courses then you should have some more bike riding experience.
DO I NEED TO BE REALLY FIT?
A certain level of fitness will certainly help, but for most sessions, we will have plenty of breaks. We won't ride very far on sessions either, and we will be based in the same place for 'sessioning' or structured practice
IS THERE BIKE AND HELMET HIRE?
Unfortunately, there is no bike or helmet hire available at Cathkin Braes currently. Please bring your own bike and wear your helmet at all times.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
Unless it is deemed to be dangerous the session will go ahead in bad weather. Please bring appropriate clothing for the weather conditions, as well as your prefered safety equipment.
DO I NEED TO BRING SPARE PARTS?
Your coach will have some spares and tools as part of their coaching kit, however, we ask all participants to be self-sufficient with their own spare innertube, snacks and basic tools
